Shipping & Delivery
Shipping & Delivery
At Arven House Design, every piece we offer has lived a life before arriving in yours. These are not warehouse items — they are storied objects, often irreplaceable.
For that reason, our shipping process is handled with the same care and consideration with which we curate our collection.
Domestic Shipping
We ship exclusively within the United States.
At this time, we do not offer international shipping in order to maintain the highest level of oversight and delivery quality.
Processing & Coordination
Orders are thoughtfully prepared within 3–7 business days.
For larger furnishings, delivery is coordinated directly with our trusted freight partners to ensure careful handling and proper scheduling. You will receive communication regarding timing and delivery appointments once your shipment is arranged.
Non-Furniture Delivery
Shipping for domestic & expedited delivery on non-furniture items are calculated at check-out based on the customer's address via UPS, FedEx, and USPS.
Furniture Delivery
Freight & White-Glove Service
All furniture pricing includes delivery within the contiguous United States.
There are no added freight charges at checkout.
Standard Freight Delivery
Most large furnishings are transported via insured, professional freight carriers and include:
-
Blanket wrapping or secure palletization
-
Scheduled delivery appointment
-
Curbside placement
-
Signature confirmation
Each piece is prepared to travel safely, with protection tailored to its material, age, and structure.
White-Glove Delivery
Select pieces qualify for white-glove service. When applicable, this includes:
-
In-home placement in the room of your choice
-
Careful unpacking
-
Removal of packing materials
If white-glove delivery applies, it will be noted in the product listing or confirmed after purchase.
Small Objects & Decorative Pieces
Smaller antiques and decorative objects ship via UPS, FedEx, or USPS and are:
-
Fully insured
-
Professionally packed
-
Carefully cushioned according to material and fragility
Many of our pieces include aged glass, delicate finishes, or time-worn joinery. Protective materials are selected specifically for each object to ensure safe arrival.
Tracking information is provided once your order departs our studio.
Our Packing Philosophy
Antiques require discernment. We do not use one-size-fits-all packaging.
Depending on the piece, we may employ:
-
Double-box construction
-
Custom crating
-
Reinforced edge and corner protection
-
Palletized freight wrapping
-
Protective blanket wrapping
Our priority is preservation — both of the object and of its history.
Upon Delivery
We recommend inspecting your piece upon arrival.
For freight deliveries, please examine the exterior packaging before signing. If you observe visible damage, note it clearly on the delivery receipt prior to acceptance.
This documentation ensures any necessary claims can be resolved efficiently.
In the Rare Event of Transit Damage
While uncommon, should damage occur:
-
Notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
-
Provide photographs of:
-
The item
-
The packaging exterior
-
Internal packing materials
-
Retain all materials until resolution.
We will personally oversee the claims process and work toward the most appropriate solution.
