Terms & Conditions for Purchasing Antiques

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to all purchases of antique, vintage, and one-of-a-kind items (collectively, "Antiques") made through our Shopify store (the "Store"). By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. Nature of Antiques
Antiques are, by definition, pre-owned and may show signs of age, wear, restoration, or repair. Such characteristics are inherent to antique items and are not considered defects.
Each item is unique and sold as a single, non-replicable piece. Once sold, the exact item cannot be replaced.
2. Condition & Descriptions
  • We make every reasonable effort to describe the condition, age, origin, and notable characteristics of each item accurately.
  • Descriptions, measurements, and photographs are provided for guidance and may include minor variances due to lighting, scale, or display settings.
  • Normal wear consistent with age—including patina, minor chips, surface wear, hairline cracks, or historical repairs—may not be individually listed unless materially significant.
By purchasing, you acknowledge that you have reviewed all provided descriptions and images and accept the item’s condition as described.
3. Authenticity & Attribution
  • Items are described to the best of our knowledge and belief based on research, expertise, and available documentation.
  • Attributions (including age, maker, origin, or period) represent informed opinions, not guarantees.
  • We do not provide formal appraisals unless explicitly stated.
4. Pricing & Payment
  • All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.
  • Prices reflect the item’s age, rarity, condition, and market value at the time of listing.
  • Payment is due in full at checkout. Orders are not reserved until payment is completed.
5. Sales Are Final
Due to the unique and aged nature of antiques, all sales are final.
We do not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges for:
  • Change of mind
  • Minor wear consistent with age
  • Variations in color, texture, or patina
  • Size or scale misunderstandings when measurements are provided
Exceptions may be made solely at our discretion in cases of material misrepresentation.
6. Shipping & Delivery
  • Shipping costs, methods, and estimated delivery times are displayed at checkout.
  • Delivery timelines are estimates and not guaranteed.
  • Antique items may require special handling, crating, or freight shipping.
Risk of Loss
Risk of loss transfers to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier.
Shipping Damage
If an item arrives damaged:
  1. Retain all packaging materials
  2. Notify us within 48 hours of delivery
  3. Provide clear photographs of the damage and packaging
Failure to follow these steps may void eligibility for a shipping claim.
8. Care & Use
Antiques may require special care, handling, or environmental conditions.
We are not responsible for damage caused by:
  • Improper use or installation
  • Environmental exposure (humidity, heat, sunlight)
  • Cleaning methods or products
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the purchase, use, or inability to use any antique item.
Our maximum liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the item.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which our business is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the Store.
